Jackie Simon

A wonderful mother, lover of the S.F. Giants and a great tennis player

Jackie Simon, 85, passed away on January 25, 2016. A third generation San Franciscan, Jackie was born on December 13, 1930, daughter of Alexander and Maybelle Armos. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and recently lived in the Oakmont area of Santa Rosa. Jackie's career spanned many years as a Fur Buyer and she also worked as a manager of a Sacramento area tennis club. She was a passionate tennis player well into her 70's and was a long-time fan of the of San Francisco Giants. She played bridge and was known for her cooking. She was preceded in death in April 2014 by her husband of 30 years, Lowell "Bud" Simon. She was also preceded by her sisters, Diane Watt and Myrna Lynch and her younger son, Scott Friedman. Jackie is survived by her son Steve Friedman (Sharon) and daughters Lori Valenziano (Mark) and Debra Friedman; 2 grandchildren Scott Friedman (Jo) and Beth Friedman; 2 great-grandchildren, Toby and Mollie Friedman and many nieces and nephews.
