Herman Paul (Dick) Imdieke
August 16, 1937 – February 28, 2021
On February 28, 2021, Herman Paul (Dick) Imdieke, passed away at the age of 83.
Dick was born August 16, 1937 in Rochester, MN to Herman Peter and Wilma (Halbmaier) Imdieke. He operated a cattle and turkey farm in Melrose, MN for many years as well as a butcher shop in town called Imdieke Meats (with the tagline “Direct from our farm, to you”). In semi-retirement, Dick raised calves for a few large dairies in the central MN region. In full retirement he traveled around the U.S. visiting family and “seeing the sites” (a favorite spot being western South Dakota). He enjoyed the outdoors, making trips to the Boundary Waters, and hunting all sorts of big and small game. He was ambidextrous, of sorts, as he wrote right-handed, but golfed, threw a ball, and batted left-handed.
Private celebration of life and interment.
