Helen P. Sadée

Helen P. Sadée, 86, of River Falls, Wisconsin, died Saturday, September 5, 2026, surrounded by family.

She was born in Munich, Germany, on January 22, 1940, the youngest of 4 children. She studied and worked as a dietician in Europe and Canada.

She met Paul Sadée in Saskatchewan, Canada, and they were married on September 23, 1967, in Munich. The couple moved to River Falls in 1969 where they raised four daughters.

Helen received her master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Wisconsin River Falls. She worked as a therapist for children and families in Minnesota.

Helen loved a good book, a beautiful garden, and the thrill of discovering something new. After retiring, she became a familiar presence at the university, eagerly auditing classes and diving into subjects that sparked her curiosity. She traveled the world with an infectious enthusiasm, excited to explore new places and connect with different cultures and their histories. Helen enjoyed exercise, whether in classes or on her yoga mat. She was surrounded by good friends who also shared her love of learning and staying active. Later in life, she found deep fulfillment in becoming a Benedictine oblate, embracing a contemplative spiritual practice that brought her peace and purpose.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Sadée. She is survived by her brother, Bonifaz Dinkel, her daughters Nadia Sadée (Kevin Dietz), Linda Vivoda-Sadée (Michael Vivoda), Paula Sadée (Richard Hager), Marianne Sadée, and grandchildren, Colin, Leo, Ethan, and Grace.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Bridget‘s Catholic Church in River Falls, Wisconsin, at 3 pm on Friday, November 27. Visitation will be at 2 pm. A reception will follow the service.

Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Our Neighbors' Place in River Falls.
