About Helen

Helen Ann Martini, 81, was a loving daughter, wife, mom & grandma. She loved spending time with her family and doting on her grandchildren. She especially loved celebrating her birthday, playing Scrabble with friends, watching movies, reading books, and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved receiving flowers for any and all occasions (even Groundhog Day!)

Helen was born in Humeston, Iowa, the only child of Thelma Morland and Paul Albert "Dick" Ellsworth (not counting her evil twin sister, Ellen). She was raised in the Humeston, IA area and moved to Carlton, Minnesota during Junior High where she met the love of her life, Ron Martini. After High School, she worked at a wood conversion company and as a dental assistant in Duluth before getting married to Ron on March 23, 1963. They were blessed with three children; Steve, Nicole & Paulette. The young family started in St. Paul, and made moves to Cedar Rapids, IA and Coon Rapids, MN before settling to raise their family in Princeton, MN. After the children grew up, Helen and Ron enjoyed many winters in Florida to escape the Minnesota cold and spent their summers in Maple Grove, MN.

Married 58 years, Helen will be dearly missed by her loving husband Ron, son Steve (& Jennifer) Martini, daughter Nicole Martini, and daughter Paulette (& Matt Hunt) Martini. She was dearly loved by all her grandchildren - Alec (& Alexis), Danielle, Jared, Mia, Lexi, Tanner & Kaden.

The family is so grateful for all the love and support received from friends and family over the past six months. Helen is now resting in peace with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We will hold her in our hearts until we hold her again in Heaven.

A private Memorial Service is being held with Interment in Humeston, Iowa at a future date.
