About Helen
Helen Alma Seiders, age 94, of Inver Grove Heights, MN passed away on January 1, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born on July 9,1930 in Harrisburg, PA to the late Edward and Helen (nee Newcomer) Neff and lived a fruitful, wonderful life of faith, good humor, kindness, and generosity.
Helen met the love of her life in the diner where she worked as a waitress. She and Ralph Seiders were married in 1948. In 1949, she and Ralph put on the Lord in baptism and soon after she became a preacher’s wife. Friends and family always enjoyed hearing her tell of their many adventures during the 31 years they were blessed to be together. Helen was a dedicated homemaker and mother. After she became a widow she joined the work force as a home healthcare aide, a correctional officer (for 8 days) and spent the most enjoyable six years of her employment as a nanny.
Then she came to live with her daughter and son-in-law in Inver Grove Heights, MN. She treasured the relationships she made with her church family and was saddened when her health kept her from being able to meet with them.
Helen is survived by her loving children, Norm (Carol) Seiders of Searcy, AR, daughter-in-law Beckie Seiders of Mt. Sterling, KY, Dan (Lorey) Seiders of Naperville, IL, and Pat (Vince) Rasbury of Inver Grove Heights, MN. Proud grandma of Stefanie (David) Gardner, Greg Seiders, Scott (Jaclyn) Seiders, Shaphan Seiders, Jennifer (Patrick) Dunham, Michael (Christina) Seiders, and Jamie (Nicki) Rasbury. Also proud great-grandma of Reed and Gabby Gardner, Jordan Howard, Hannah, Levi and Ava Dunham, Jackson and Quinn Seiders, Camryn and Violet Ballard; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Ken (Beckie) Seiders, brothers John and David Neff and sister Bernadine Neff.
While we are saddened by her loss, we rejoice that Helen began 2025 in her heavenly home. What a Happy New Year for our lovely woman of faith!
