Gregory Scott Mason was born on July 3, 1968, in Fredonia, Kansas, to Elizabeth (Million) and Calvin Mason at St. Margaret’s Hospital. He passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, at 5:10 p.m. at Cambridge Hospital in Cambridge, Minnesota, surrounded by a caring team of medical professionals, many of whom knew Greg personally.

Greg attended school in Caney, Kansas, and later worked in retail and as a cook. He had a true passion for cooking and found great joy in preparing meals for others. Greg also had a deep love for dogs, which always held a special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gene and Wilma Mason, and Alfred and Ila Reah Million.

Greg is survived by his parents, Calvin and Elizabeth Mason of Fredonia, Kansas; his sister, Kim, and her husband, Tom; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He is also lovingly remembered by his Minnesota family, including Amy, Pete, and a supportive pastor who meant a great deal to him.

Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
