Loving father

Born on February 27, 1953 and went home peacefully during the Lord's Prayer at Good Samaritan Society in Maplewood, MN.

Master storyteller, good friend, and great dad

Greg loved to go fishing, play the slots at the casinos, and spend time with family. His positive attitude and smooth talking ranked him to the top early on as an insurance salesman (where he won many sales awards), a car salesman, and later as a sales manager for multiple large dealerships.

He taught his 3 sons early on that "You gotta do, what you gotta do" - whether it be driving a tractor trailer across the country to pay the bills, hook a chain to his company demo car to drag his sons broken down old car home, or drive 3 hours to bring his son the boat keys that he forgot to pack when he ventured 5 hours north. Although flawed as we all are, he had a good heart and would go out of his way for his family.

Greg is survived by his wife Deanna Westlund, ex-wife Joan Anderson, 3 sons and wives Jason (Stacy), Eric (Izabella), and Chad (Sarah), stepson Zach (Christi), sister Mary, and many grandchildren.

A small service will be conducted on Thursday August 17, 2023 in Apple Valley, MN - the city where he raised his three sons into wonderful young men.
