life story
Wonderful, gracious, loving man! Deeply missed!
Greg is dead as we say in the Shadowlands.
His term is over, the holidays have begun.
His dream is ended, this is the morning.
For Greg this is only the beginning of the real story.
All of his life in this world has only been the cover and title page.
Now at last he is beginning Chapter One of the Great Story which no one on earth has read, which goes on forever, in which every chapter is better than the one before.
-C.S. Lewis (from the Last Battle)
Greg was a child of God, marvelously and wonderfully made.
Greg was a Game Changer and his strengths included:
• Empathy: he was a great listener and encourager.
• Harmony: he had a great ability to seek consensus.
• Developer: he recognized and cultivated the potential in others.
• Adaptability: he knew how to live in the "now" and "go with the flow."
• Belief: strong core values of honesty, love and cherishing those he loved.
• Greg was passionate about his work as a mechanical engineer and later at Culvers. He was always committed to doing his best and he was very proud of the tips he received at Culvers!
• Greg was an Artisan Composer (ISFP): driven by his values and a desire to do good. He loved variety. He was quiet but with a sense of humor and enjoyment of life and nature's beauty. He loved to make people smile!
• Greg was an Enneagram Type Nine: a Peacemaker. He was accepting, trusting, and stable. Greg was creative, optimistic, and supportive. He was often able to bring people together and heal conflicts.
• Elephant and Whale: these are animals that depicted Greg's character. Elephants choose leaders who have the ability to get to agreement and who are intelligent and good problem solvers, while whales are compassionate and playful. Greg displayed all of these strengths in his lifetime.
Greg's music of life continues
"... a well lived life does not end any more than music ends...
it echoes through time with whispers of beauty and grace..."
