Gerry Kendall

Geraldine (Gerry) Kendall, 90, of Eagan, MN passed away peacefully on March 11, 2023.

Gerry was born on June 27, 1932 in upstate New York to Casimir and Cecilia Begier. She was the second of four children. Gerry spent much of her childhood living with her parents and grandparents and had fond memories of her early years.

Gerry met her beloved husband, Joe, at a Catholic high school dance and often professed that she was initially drawn to him because he was one of two boys at the dance who were taller than she. Lucky Joe.

Gerry attended the University of Rochester in New York, graduating with an RN degree and soon after began a career as a labor and delivery nurse. She and Joe married in 1954 and they lived in Germany for their first years of marriage while Joe served in the army. Upon returning to the U.S., they started a family, adopting three children, Barry, Pat, and Lisa.

Gerry's life was a happy one filled with an abundance of travel, volunteerism, deep and lasting friendships, and a gaggle of grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she adored.

Gerry was preceded in death by her parents Cecelia and Casimir, husband Joe, and sister, Jackie.

She is survived by her children; Barry (Karen), Pat (Darla), Lisa (John), grand children; Tanner, Ariel, Jessica, Lindsay, Allen, Haley, Eva, and Owen, great-grandchildren Andrew and Harvey, and siblings, Ron and Sandy.
