life story
A Remarkable Man
Gary F. Peper (aka “Peper”), age 82, passed away peacefully on Dec. 15th, 2024. Gary was born in Red Wing, MN to Harriet and Floyd Peper. He graduated from Mankato State, proudly served in the U.S. Army, and was a dedicated Minnesota State Trooper.
He was an enthusiastic fan of professional and college sports, motorcycling, and his yard (best on the block). Gary simply made this world a better place and his loss is felt profoundly. He was an amazing husband, loving brother, and devoted friend to many. He was a good, decent man and will be forever remembered for his generosity, great sense of humor, remarkable ability to connect with people and his incredible charm.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Tamelyn, sister Trudy (Jim) and his extended family. Gratitude is extended to the VA Medical Center staff who cared for him. Donations can be made in Gary’s honor to the DAV, or a charity of your choice.
