Gary Dennis Granquist

Gary Dennis Granquist of St. Stephen, MN passed away peacefully on January 3, 2023 at the age of 70.

He was born to Rudolph and Thelma Granquist and grew up in Richfield, MN. He graduated from Richfield High School and attended college at St. Cloud State University where he studied art.

His artistic abilities landed him a successful career at Quebecor Printing in St. Cloud where he worked for 27 years.

Gary was an incredibly kind person. He loved being surrounded by his family and many close friends- friendships that reached back to high school and college days. In 1979 he moved to his hobby farm in St. Stephen and over a period of years transformed it into an eclectic collection of gardens and outbuildings- truly his happy place. He will be remembered for the epic gatherings at the farm and his infectious laugh. Gary loved cooking, painting, gardening, music, his dogs, soap operas and being an uncle to his 4 nieces and nephews. He was full of life.

Preceded in death by his parents. Survived by siblings Bruce (wife Kathy), Brenda Olson (husband Jim) and nieces and nephews Emma, Alex, Christian and Anna and many friends and relatives.

Raise a glass and join us at a Remembrance Celebration on Saturday, February 4th, 2023 from 1- 4 pm at the Red Carpet 11 5th Ave. S. St. Cloud, MN 56301. Family and friends are invited to come to share fond memories and stories.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the donor’s preference are desired.
