Gary Dale Wilson

Born in Flint, MI on September 24, 1962. He would tell people that he was born in the hospital to be next to his mother. He died on November 20, 2023. He had great wit and a sense of humor, this continued to the end. He had many interests and hobbies. He loved teaching people. Before he was diagnosed with cancer, he was in graduate school for nursing. He was a lifetime learner. He felt no education was wasted. He loved traveling to new places and experiencing the locals. He loved talking with people. The younger children and his wife would joke when he met someone new because they knew they would be there for a while for him to talk to the person. He served in the ARMY Reserves for 27 years. He was a DJ, Chief radio operator, Emergency preparedness worker, EMT, Engineering manager, Pilot, Ham radio operator and nurse. He was a great provider for his family and gave them so much joy with his dad jokes and his smile. He was loved by many.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; children, Thomas, John, Opal, Nicole Mai (Paul), Andrew (Bri), and Erin Nolph (Dusty); grandchildren, Rowan, Aiden, Isaac, Zoe, Eugene; mother, Jean Cason; sister, Darcey; and many other family members. This is wd8cbo going QRT.

Memorial service on November 29th at 11:30AM at St. John’s in the Wilderness, 2175 1st Street, White Bear Lake, MN 55110. Visitation 1 hour prior.
