life story

In loving Memory of A: Marine ~ Husband ~ Father ~ Grandfather ~ Brother & Friend

My dad was a compassionate man who aimed to please others. Growing up he worked hard to put food on our table and strived to never let his family go without. Yes he was a stubborn man but beyond that wall he was a kind, a caring and a loving father. Believe it or not he was so sensitive toward me that we were buddies. In order to help us push through obstacles that we were faced with, he gave us alternative ways to see things to guide us in any decision making process that we encountered. My dad and I would chat for hours so I got to know my dad really well. He taught me expansive lessons of facts about a plethora of topics. He was full of wisdom. One of my earliest childhood memories was of me being on the road with him when he was driving truck. Or when he got home from a trip and I raided his bags for change. He is going to be missed deeply. He was the first man that I loved, the first man that I kissed, the first hand that I held and the first man that ever held me in his arms. He will always be in my heart and when the Good Lord calls me home we will be together forever.

Semper Fi Marine ~ Rest in Peace

My dad was diagnosed in the middle of May 2021 and his cancer was so aggressively spreading he only made it through 2 months of his cancer fight...the beginning of the end, when my dad was first told he had stage 4 pancreatic, liver and lymph node cancer and that chemotherapy was not a option due to the existing damage on his liver, my dad told me that he chose this song because it "fits the moment."

Please take a silent moment to listen to this song:
