About Florence
Florence was born on August 22, 1927 in Clifton , New Jersey. Her parents were Helen VanDuyne and Emile Kruger. She met Pierce D.Metzger (Bud) during a rodeo circuit. He was a bull rider and she was a trick rider. She had the opportunity to be in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade.They married and he enlisted in the Air Force. When he returned they purchased property and built a home in Montville , Ohio. They had three boys : Keith, Clint, and Gregg They were young when their father died. Eventually she met and married Herbert Miller . They opened a bow and gun shop in Chardon, Ohio .Florence excelled at archery and was sponsored by various bow companies. She has won many tournaments. She also became an Avon representative at that time, eventually becoming Manager. Herbert died . She continued to focus on the love of her family and enjoying the grandchildren : Jennifer, Heather, Derek , Erik , Jared along with their children Skylar, Ember, Xander, Darrell Aubrey, Obsidian, Lou, Alastor, Briella and Cyrus. During her life she spent much time knitting , crocheting, reading,making jewelry, doing word searches and going to garage sales and flea markets.
She is survived by her sons Keith Metzger from S. Euclid Ohio, Clint ( Jeanette) Metzger from Chardon Ohio , and Gregg ( Linda ) from Rock Creek, Ohio , Jennifer Metzger from Rock Creek Ohio, Heather White from Rock Creek Ohio, Derek Metzger from Austinburg Ohio , Erik Metzger from Conneaut Ohio, Jared Metzger from Otisville New York and ten great grandchildren.
