Elroy Gerald Brandl, 88, of Turtle River, MN died Saturday, April 23, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

Elroy was born June 25, 1933 in New Munich, MN, the son of Hubert and Florance (Rieland) Brandl. When he was young, he moved with his family to Blackduck where he was raised and educated.

He married Geraldine Tolbert October 13, 1956 in Blackduck, MN. He worked his whole life as a crane operator. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, construction work and being with his family.

Elroy is survived by his wife, Geraldine, 4 children, Joe (Vonda) Brandl, Janet (Brent) Holbrook, Sue (John) Pretendseagle, and Karen (Russ Olson) Rongstad, 8 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Delores, Laverne, Lyola, Charlene, Donna May, Gerald, and Lillian.
