life story

Elizabeth (Liz) M Solem, 86 of White Bear Lake, passed away peacefully December 3rd with her niece Susan by her side.

Elizabeth was born and raised in White Bear Lake, MN. She graduated from White Bear Lake High and Macalester College.

She taught 6th Grade after college and then went on to work for 3M in the Benefits

Department until retirement.

She was proud of her many accomplishments as well as having a grand niece named after her. (Elizabeth M Gilmore).

She is survived by her sons Eric(Lina) & Brent (Kate), 5 grandchildren, nieces Susan (Chuck)

Lofgren Gilmore and June (Jim) Lofgren McCarthy, 3 great nephews, 1 grand niece and many loyal and dear longtime friends.

Preceded in death by her parents John & Mary Cofield and sister/best friend Eva Lou (Cofield)

A Celebration of Life gathering will be in early 2026.
