A Loving Mother, Grandma, and Best Friend
Edith I. Mclalwain
June 26, 1933-Feb. 23, 2024
Edith Irene Mclalwain (Rogne) of Ogilvie passed away Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was 90 years old.
She was born on June 26, 1933, to Tedwall Kenneth Rogne and Grace Mildred Rogne (Vian) in Mora. She went to country school on County Road 6 and high school in Mora.
Edith worked as a waitress, and that is where she met her husband, Darrell. They were married Oct. 5, 1952, for 67 years. They had five children.
To everyone who knew Edith, she had one of the kindest hearts ever known. Edith raised her children and milked cows on the farm while her husband Darrell drove truck. She loved puzzles, gardening, flowers and her birds. She enjoyed making Sunday dinners and spending time with her family. Edith was well known for her cooking and baking. If she wasn't in the kitchen, she was working on a puzzle, reading, watching game shows, cooking shows and Dr. Pol. She rarely ever missed a sporting event for her kids and grandkids. It was her passion, with baseball being her favorite.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell; parents, Tedwall Kenneth Rogne and Grace Mildred Rogne (Vian); eight siblings; and grandaughter, Allison Grace Felde.
She is survived by her children, Del (Anne) Mclalwain, Cheryl Visser (Scott), Donald (Lisa) Mclalwain, Darcy (Chris) Wilke and Charity (Robert) Felde; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements have been made for 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Lewis Lake Church in Ogilvie.
