life story
Loving father, grandfather, neighbor and friend .
Earl/ Early Bird /Killie/ Dad/ Grandpa/“Gwampa”
Earl lived a full life. A life long Staten Islander. He graduated from McKee Technical High School.
Earl served in the US Navy from February 1964- September 1968. He received the Antarctica Service Medal.
After returning state-side, he married Dorothy Wazeter in 1969. They were married for just under 50 years, as she pre-deceased him in July 2019.
Earl leaves behind two daughters, Denise and Lori and their husbands, David Procaccini and Harry Schetlick, respectively. He also leaves behind his three grandchildren Christopher, Ashten and Jackson.
Earl was a character . Sometimes he was quiet and than what came out of his mouth would totally catch you off guard.
Earl worked for the Staten Island Railroad as a switch electrician until retirement in 2006.
He was a simple man who enjoyed his NCIS and Walker Texas Ranger, walks in Willowbrook Park , playing his lotto and a cold Coors Light.
He supported his grandchildren by cheering in the baseball stands, tapping to the beat at recitals and cringing at the engines of a monster truck .
He had a short intense battle with lung disease . He will be missed beyond measure by many.
