Douglas A Brindle

life story

Douglas "Dugger" Brindle, age 74, passed away at CentraCare Hospital, St. Cloud, MN on August 21, 2023. He was born November 17, 1948 in Marshalltown, IA to James and Elizabeth Brindle.

Doug was born, raised and schooled in Marshalltown Iowa. He proudly served in the US Army from 1968-1971. He worked in manufacturing starting in Iowa and continued in that trade upon moving to Minnesota in 1983 eventually retiring from Minneapolis Die Cast in 2014.

Doug married his wife Cheryl in 1985 and they resided in Coon Rapids until 1999. They then escaped the hustle & bustle of the cities and moved to their 5 acre dream home just north of Princeton.

Doug was a humble, caring and kind man, a wonderful husband, father and stepfather. He had a corny sense of humor enjoyed by all with a sweet spot in his heart for dogs. He was a talented woodworker and gunsmith who enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a true faithful friend to all.

Doug is survived by his wife Cheryl Brindle; son Craig (Jennifer) Brindle; son Andrew Brindle; daughter Cindra (Craig) Cather; stepson Brad (Jessica) Richardson; stepdaughter Briana (Paul) Wylie; and 4 grandchildren, Robert Brindle, Dylan Brindle (Kayla Lemieux), Skylar Brindle, Thielen Cather; and 2 step grandchildren, Carmen Anderson, Ashley Anderson; and 3 great grand children, Grayson, Maddox & Casey Brindle; and brother Steve Brindle; and sister Vicki Brindle. All of whom loved him and will miss him greatly.

Doug is preceded in death by his granddaughter Hannah Brindle who passed 3/15/2023
