She is now reunited with her loved ones gone before her; parents William and Dorothy Crane, sisters Suzy and Patsy, brothers Billy and Bobby, son Ken Jr. (aka Keebs), and daughter Holly (Alan).
Leaving on this earth to mourn her passing; her children Dawn (Bruce), Shannon (Kurt), Shaun (Kari), Robert (Nicholette), and Geno. Dottie was born in Minneapolis, MN, and grew up in a large, loving family that she cherished deeply. Her strong devotion to family inspired her to build a big family of her own. She attended Catholic school as a child and carried her compassionate spirit into adulthood by dedicating her work to helping and serving those in need. Dottie had a special affection for babies and often offered to babysit for family, finding joy in caring for little ones. She was an intelligent, generous, and kind-hearted woman with a curious mind and a passion for learning. In her free time, she enjoyed Dell crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and writing poetry. A lifelong reader, Dottie delved into murder mysteries and broadened her perspective by exploring books on world religions. Her love of music included favorites like Elvis Presley, Elton John, and Neil Diamond. She also found joy in collecting unique items, including books, Troll dolls, porcelain dolls, and Buddha figurines.
Dottie’s warmth, wisdom, and thoughtful spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. She will be forever loved and missed.
A special thank you to Kari and the nurses and staff at the Park River Estates Care Center in Coon Rapids, MN who kept her comfortable during her hardest time. The family is appreciative of the great care she received while there.
