Dorothy Agee

March 7, 1933 – August 10, 2026

Andover, MN 55304, USA

Dorothy Evangeline (Carlson) Agee died August 10, 2026 at the age of 93.

Dorothy was born March 7, 1933 in Minneapolis, MN to George and Mildred Carlson. She married Gordon Agee on January 2, 1952; they enjoyed 71 years of marriage. Together they raised three kids, cared for a menagerie of pets, traveled extensively in the United States and some abroad, built several homes and retired to their beloved lake home. Dorothy's baking skills were legendary: her pies and caramel rolls were perfection and there were always homemade cookies in the cookie jar. She worked at a wide range of jobs, many of them in the capacity of caretaker to individuals and communities. Many remember her years managing the small restaurant they co-owned with their good friends, Don and Marian Bostrom. Alongside the Bostroms, Dorothy and Gordon also started a church plant in the northern suburbs and became founding members of Oak Haven Church (F.K.A. Ham Lake Baptist).

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Gordon and daughter Cynthia Birkeland.

Dorothy is survived by daughter Pat (George) Dramdahl, son Ron (Jeannette) Agee, son-in-law Jim Birkeland; four grandchildren--Laurel (Chris) Schurke, Aaron (Katie) Birkeland, Kirbie Dramdahl, and David Dramdahl; and five great grandchildren--Cale, Annika, Liv, Anders, and Mathias.

Memorial service at Oak Haven Church, Ham Lake on August 22, 2026 at 11:00AM, visitation at 10:00AM. A light lunch will be available after the service.
