Donn Raymond Driver, Jr.

Donn R. Driver, Jr., died December 14, 2021. Donn was born March 3, 1942, in Manhattan, KS, where his father was stationed with the US Army. He grew up in Sioux Falls, SD, graduated from Hamline University, and served in the US Navy (LTJG) in the Philippines. He worked for the VA in Boise and San Francisco developing a love of travel and exploration. He and his partner Lisa Swenson divided their time for many years between Costa Rica and Minnesota, traveling world-wide, camping, and enjoying the natural world. He was an ardent skier, tennis player, dog lover and gardener, and enjoyed fine jam from berries and fruit he and Lisa foraged and preserved. Donn is preceded in death by his father, Donn R. Driver, M.D., mother Aldis (Heyerman) Driver, sister Trudy, and many beloved canines. He is survived by his partner Lisa Swenson and her daughters, Tina Dybvik and Jenni Swenson; brothers Bill (Kate Maple) and Fred (Nancy); stepmother Wanda K. Driver; nephews Jeremy (Stacia) and Charlie (Moe Shea), niece Elspeth (Patrick Hammett) Driver; and many grand/great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
