Donavin “Donnie” Larson, 77, of Bagley, Minnesota passed away peacefully at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center surrounded by his family on November 11, 2022.

Donnie was born on January 13, 1945, at Ada, Minnesota, the son of Darvin ”Butch” and Eleanor (Boyd) Larson. Donnie was known to be a truck driver all his life. Donnie owned trucks up until he could no longer drive, because of his health. Donnie lived and breathed trucks. He made many trips to Alaska. He worked on the Alaskan Pipeline from 1975 – 1978. Till the end he wanted to make “one more haul to Alaska.”

If you ever met Donnie, you knew he would give you his unfiltered point of view! Donnie married Gwen Rivera and they later divorced.

Donnie is survived by his children – Stacy (Jim) Herman and Joe (Heidi) Larson, both of Bagley, Minnesota

Donnie loved his grandchildren- Ashley (Nathan) Nelson, Kristan (David) Fleck, Kyle (Amy) Herman, Casey, and Wyatt (Courtney) Larson. Great grandchildren – Kia and Conner Nelson, and Kylee and Alexis Fleck. He thought the world of his grandchildren. They all have great memories of him taking them shopping and out to eat, along with going on a ride through the countryside. He is also survived by his siblings – Patricia Bare, Douglas Larson, Delores Williams, and Bonnie (Les) Lofthus and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law – Art Bare and nephews – Scotty Bare, Trevor Malenke and Mike Larson.
