Diane Lee Gaughan, 62, Menahga, MN passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023.

Diane was born October 11, 1960 in St. Cloud, MN to Leander and LaVerne (Bidinger) Kruchten. She grew up and lived in Sartell, MN and worked for X-Cel Optical in Sauk Rapids for 36 years. In 2015, she retired to Menahga.

Diane was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell. She enjoyed softball and volleyball

in her younger years. She loved being outdoors, deer hunting, snowshoeing, walking, and working alongside her husband, Tom. She had a love of sports and spent 46 summers watching three generations of Gaughan men play baseball. She never missed any of her grandchildren’s activities.

Diane’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and Ama, who lived to serve and take care of others. After a 7-month battle with cervical cancer, done with unmatched strength and grace, Diane passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side.

Diane is survived by her husband and high school sweetheart, Tom Gaughan, of Menahga; son, Dan

(Carissa) Gaughan; grandchildren, Cailynn, Caidyn, and Colette Gaughan; siblings, Deb Weihrauch, Doris

(Ken) Nathe, Donna (Chuck) Wenz, Denise (Bryan) Robertson, Darrell (Cheryl) Kruchten, Danila (Jim)

Skroch, Dorothy (Jeff) George; father-in-law, Tom (Harlene) Gaughan; mother-in-law, Diane Gaughan;

brother-in-law, John Gaughan; sister-in-law, Tracy (Ron) Wilprecht; many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Leander and LaVerne Kruchten; and brother-in-law, Jeff Weihrauch.

Location: Kruchten Family Farm, 32396 50th Avenue, St. Cloud, MN, 56303, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., with a moment of silence at 2:00 p.m. No flowers please.
