Diane Elizabeth Martin (nee Long)

Born February 18, 1942, to Marguerite Baston Long and William Howard Long in Holy Oaks, Mass. Diane graduated from Hudson High in 1960 and married Maurice (Pat) Arthur Martin, divorcing in 1966. She had three sons; David, Kenneth and Timothy.

Diane worked at Hudson Phone Company, Gillette Corporation, UPS and Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps Center where she retired in 2009 after 25 years of employment.

In December 2022, Diane entered hospice and attentively cared for by the HealthPartners Hospice team. On January 31, 2024, Diane died peacefully in her home with her family.

She is proceeded in death by her mother Marguerite Long, father William Long, stepfather Robert White, sister Robin White. She is survived by her sons, David Martin, Kenneth (Cecelia) Martin and Timothy (Lori) Martin, as well as 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, family living in Virginia, and many life long friends.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 8th at St. Patrick Parish, 1500 Vine Street, Hudson, WI, with a visitation 10am to 11am and funeral at 11am. Internment at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Cylon, WI.

The family would like to thank the HealthPartners Hospice Team, residents of Piccadilly Square Apartments in Mahtomedi, friends of the 1960 Hudson High School Class, and all of those who reached out to her while in hospice. Diane had many dear friends whom she considered family, which she cherished and deeply love.
