Desmond M. Granrose, 70, of Circle Pines, MN, passed away on March 24, 2025. Desi was born on February 25, 1955 in Moose Lake, MN to Edwin and Hiroko Granrose. His early childhood was spent in Duluth, MN, before moving to Milwaukee, WI. He graduated from James Madison High School in Milwaukee and went on to achieve a degree in Engineering through the Milwaukee School of Engineering and the University of Oklahoma.

Desi was loved and will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and fatherly protectiveness of all. He found many aspects of life fulfilling: his spiritual values, hopes and goals, his family, friends, and work. He had the highest regard for his workmates and team at the Honeywell Corporation in Minneapolis during the last years of his life. Throughout his career, he enjoyed travelling the world.

He deeply loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Angelika Granrose; mother Hiroko Granrose; son Brett Granrose (Aranzazu); daughter Allison Brenner (Jay); brother Kim Granrose (Linda); sister Desiree McKim; stepchildren Kristen Thate and Aleksandr Muzyca (Oksana); and grandchildren Benjamin and Alayna Brenner, Ethan and Alexander Granrose, and step-grandson Austin Thate.

As a Jehovah’s Witness, Desi worked to share the benefits of having a relationship with Jehovah God. Not just the benefits promised for the future, but those that shaped him now; A good teacher, mentor, husband, father, and friend – a good man. His spiritual values touched each of his relationships.
