Denise Marie Houle

Rest in peace, safe in our hearts.

It is with great sadness that we note the passing of Denise Houle on March 25, 2026. Denise grew up in Fridley, Minnesota and graduated from Fridley Senior High in 1982. She attended the College of St. Thomas (biology and psychology major) and then did her graduate studies in organizational psychology at Claremont Graduate University in California. She worked in several roles at UCLA before moving back to Minnesota, where she worked in health care administration.

Denise is especially remembered for her thoughtfulness and constant willingness to help friends and family, her poise and quick wit, and her ability to befriend any dog she met. She was blessed with a close circle of friends she met in college and maintained close ties with, regardless of the distance and passing of time. Denise is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Jean Houle. She is survived by her sister, Laurie Houle, and her aunt, Romayne Houle.

A memorial service and scattering of ashes will take place at Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis, in June.
