Our beloved parents, Delores Mae Nierenhausen and Walter Nicholas Nierenhausen passed away after 65 years of marriage in Blaine, MN. Delores, 89, passed away on September 28th, 2023. Walter, 91, passed away just 11 days earlier, on September 17th, 2023. They both had various health struggles, yet lived full and happy lives together.

Delores was born on April 4, 1934 in Minneapolis, MN to Ralph and Ruth Rumble. Delores enjoyed dancing, watching Catholic Mass and sports on TV, connecting with family and friends via the telephone - especially her sister, Betty. She cherished her visits with family and friends and most of all, she had the unique ability to always provide a listening ear and thoughtful, caring advice.

Walter was born on December 6, 1931 in Roscoe, MN to Frank and Sophie Nierenhausen. Walter enjoyed dancing, watching sports and auto auctions on TV, playing cards with family and friends, playing the lottery, and most of all he had the unique ability to make people laugh and smile with his witty sense of humor.

As a couple, Walter and Delores were loyal, devoted to each other, and inseparable. In their younger years they enjoyed dancing, trips to Las Vegas, a couple cruises, playing cards with family and friends, and sharing laughs and creating memories at the Palmer Lake VFW.

Walter and Delores are survived by their children, Peggy (Ralph Webb) Nierenhausen, Steven (Vicky) Nierenhausen, Kevin (Lola) Nierenhausen, David (Dawn), Nierenhausen; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brothers and sisters Lloyd Nierenhausen, Eileen Klaas, Mary (Greg) O'Connor, Ray Podgorski, Donna Rumble, and many nieces and nephews; and Preceded in death by, parents Frank and Sophie Nierenhausen, Ralph and Ruth Rumble; brothers and sisters Jim (Sally) Nierenhausen, Red Klaas, Ronald (Nancy) Nierenhausen, Audrey Podgorski, Ralph (Jan) Rumble, Clem Rumble, Mary Lou (Micheal) Hagel, Betty (Cliff) Huston, Geraldine Rumble, Barbara Rumble.

Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, Oct 27th, from 5:00-8:00pm, at The Palmer Lake VFW, 2817 Brookdale Drive, Brooklyn Park, MN 55444.
