Debra Lynn Braasch, 66, of Bemidji, MN died Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the Sanford Bemidji Medical Center in Bemidji, MN.

She was born on December 30, 1957, in Fergus Falls, MN, the daughter of Lester and Clarice (Kamphuis) Braasch. She spent her youth in the Detroit Lakes area, and graduated from Detroit Lakes High School in 1975. She spent a year living abroad in Denmark attending college and always wanted to return.

She attained her LPN certification and lived in the Walker area. She worked at Ah Gwah Ching as an LPN for 5 years. She moved to Bemidji, MN in 1999. She worked at Thrive Behavioral Health for 5 years in Bemidji, until she retired in 2023.

She enjoyed cooking, reading, crosswords, science fiction and fantasy novels and books. She liked watching her favorite shows and movies with family. She loved her dogs Spot and Dot. Family was important to her. She enjoyed spending time with extended family when she visited. She was very proud to become a Grandmother and loved spending all the time she could with her grandson. She was very welcoming, kind to everyone, and a good host.

She is survived by her: Son, Brandon (Dana Zschokke) Braasch of Bemidji, MN,

Grandson, Elliot Braasch of Bemidji, MN,

Siblings, Nata Borth, Neil Braasch, Lester Braasch,

Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
