About Dean (DMFD)
Dean Marcel Donato, born on June 5, 1979, in the serene town of Gorham, New Hampshire, left this world unexpectedly on June 14, 2024, leaving behind hearts heavy with grief and memories full of joy. Nestled among the White Mountains, Dean’s early years were spent in the shadow of the majestic Mt. Washington, a peak he proudly summited.
As the third child of Ronald and Elaine Leveille Donato, Dean was part of a loving family. He graduated from Gorham High School, where he discovered a profound passion for Music, particularly drumming. His journey led him to Getibeck, Berlin NH, where he skillfully built Guitars. He then left New Hampshire to pursue his Musical Career at the MacPhail School of Arts in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This is where he honed his drumming talents.
Dean’s love for music was matched only by his enthusiasm for Motorcycles. He became a Motorcycle Technician at Wolff Motorcycle in Princeton, MN, forging a close friendship with the owner, Tim Wolff. Dean was also a cherished member of the Sons of Silence Motorcycle Club, rarely missing the annual pilgrimages to Motorcycle Rallies, a tradition he eagerly attended.
Dean's circle of love extended beyond his family. His best friend, Bo Erke, shared an unbreakable bond with him, known affectionately to many as "BoDean." Their friendship was a testament to enduring loyalty and mutual respect. Dean also shared a deep bond with his brother Vinny, whom he admired greatly. Though Dean never had biological children, he was a nurturing father figure to Thomas Gullikson, Milaca MN, embracing the role with heart and dedication.
Dean had a unique gift: he made everyone around him feel “Truly Alive”. His energy, passion, and vitality were infectious, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him. His Kindness, Loyalty, and Adventurous Spirit made him "One Of A Kind." To say he was a friend to many is an understatement; those who were important to him know exactly who they are. When Dean said, "I Love You," it was sincere and unwavering.
He is survived by his devoted Mother Elaine Donato of Berlin, NH; Uncle Marcel & Aunt Priscilla Leveille, NH, his beloved Brother Vinny of Gorham, NH; his dear Sister Gina Alger (Husband Alan) of Berlin, NH; his cherished Nephew Blake Donato (Fancée Amber Morency) of Shelburne, NH; his Niece Mia Couture and Great-Niece Ariana Lunsman of Berlin, NH; his loyal Best Friends Bo Erke of Milaca, MN and Jake Kepner, Nowthen, MN; and his Faithful Dog, George. He was predeceased by his Father, Ronald Donato.
Dean Marcel Donato’s legacy is one of Love, Music, and the Open Road. His spirit will forever ride on in the hearts of those who loved him.
“Ride Dean, Ride Like The Wind.”
