Dawn “Babe” Ilene Cleveland of North Saint Paul, MN, passed away at Regions Hospital surrounded by her children on May 23, 2024. She was born on the Winnebago Indian Reservation in Nebraska on February 15, 1964. She moved to Saint Paul, MN when she was 10 with her family. She met the love of her life when she was a teenager in Minneapolis, whom she shares her children with. She spent most of her life in Saint Paul, where she dedicated it to raising her six children, and working & volunteering in the Native American community. She was known for empowering others; being strong, generous, courageous, wise, caring, compassionate, supportive, and resilient. She faced many obstacles in her lifetime but still persevered and overcame them. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and joke with her family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt & friend. She will be dearly missed; our hearts will not be the same without her here to fill it with her love and support.

She is survived by her Significant Other, Doyle; her sisters, Grace, Verna, Bertha (Daniel); her children, Darice (James), Charlie, Darcie, Decia, Donella (Mitchell), Darcel (Luis); her grandchildren, Dianaja, Rosalee, Damien, Aaron, Elora, Khmari, James III, Evelynn, Kordell, Luis, Brandon Jr., Ellia, Isla, & Gabriella; & many cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Vera; her siblings, Gerald, Stephanie, & Shannon; her brother in law, Rodney; her sister in law, Jeanette; her nephews, Carlos, Chato, & Calvin; and her grandson Mateo.

A memorial service will be held at Galilee Evangelical Lutheran Church, 145 N McCarrons Blvd, Roseville, MN 55113

Wednesday May 29, 2024 From 11 am to 7 pm

A light lunch and dinner will be served.
