life story
A loving father and husband and a wonderful son and friend.
I have spent the last 20 years of my life with Dave. We have had our ups and downs, good times and bad times along the road, but we made a good team. We have two wonderful children, Kale and Kiki, that we are so proud of. Dave was a very present and amazing father, and I am so grateful for that. I will miss him terribly, but I know he is in heaven with no more pain and anxiety, and I know that I will see him again.
About Dave
Dave grew up in a loving Christian family with his father (Tom), mother (Glenda) and younger brother (Mike). He was a very smart man who ended up getting a bachelor's degree in physics and a minor in math. After college he started working at Deluxe Corp. He was attending a church named Woodland Hills, where he met Amy Charpentier in a young adults small group. After 1 1/2 years of dating, Dave and Amy got married. He was 26 at that time. Two years later they had a son, and named him Kale. About 6 months after Kale was born, they moved from their small town home to a nice 4 bedroom family home in Arden Hills. Two years later they had a daughter, and named her Keira (Kiki). Life became busy with work, family and friends, but Dave always put family first. We was a very proud and involved father. He took his kids just about everywhere you could think of and got them involved in sports, school activities, church, community, etc. Some of Dave's favorite things over the years were going to his parent's house in Florida over Thanksgiving with family, going to our yearly Christian music festival with our family, going on just about any vacation especially the one's that Amy earned with her jewelry business, doing mma with Kale at Warriors Cove, attending and helping out with Kiki's softball games, and watching tv in the evenings with Amy. Dave became ill in the end of September 2020. He was eventually diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in the beginning of November 2020. He ended his fight with cancer on September 2nd 2021 at home with his family, which is what he wanted. We are sorry that he did not get to say goodbye to most of you because of Covid and complications with his illness. Just know that he loved all of you.
