In Loving Memory of David Gruber

David Michael Gruber passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

David was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, graduated from Simley High School and then went on to study at St. Paul Technical College, where he pursued a trade in industrial electrical work. He lived a life filled with adventure, always seeking new experiences. Whether he was taking a spontaneous road trip, four-wheeling and snowmobiling up in the north woods, or racing down a ski hill, David's zest for life was contagious, and he was always ready for the next thrill. He loved to share these moments with those around him, leaving a lasting impression with his generous nature, adventurous spirit, and passionate heart.

Above all, David's greatest joy and accomplishment in life were his children. He took immense pride in each of them, loving them deeply and without reservation. His family was his world, and his love for them was unwavering. He was a man who lived fully—he never held back, and always cherished the time he spent with those he loved. David is now at peace, free from pain and worry, with his soul living on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed and always remembered.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Sandra (Hecimovich) and Richard Gruber. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kellie Gruber; his children, Ashley (Logan) Sharp, Allie Gruber, and Austin Gruber; his siblings, Deann Wagner and Daniel Gruber; his grandson; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Please join us in celebrating David's life. A gathering will be held at the Hugo City Hall in the Oneka Room (Address: 14669 Fitzgerald Ave N, Hugo, MN 55038), on Monday April 7th, between 4:30pm-8:00pm.
