David Lawrence Mier, 81, Park Rapids, MN passed away Friday, June 9, 2023 at his home.

David was born March 10, 1942 in Ladysmith, WI to Minrod and Amanda (Carter) Mier. He grew up in Wisconsin and attended school in Bruce.

He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Nauber on January 5, 1963. They raised their family in the Twin Cities where David worked 20 years for Sears & Roebuck and 18 years for A to Z Rental from where he retired in 2008.

David enjoyed fishing, watching birds, and playing cribbage. He loved spending time with his family.

David is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Mier of Park Rapids; children, Debra (Ken) Ford of Cadott, WI, Deanna (Joe) Westphal of Park Rapids, Donald Mier of Fridley, MN; brother, Minrod Mier of Onamia, MN; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Minrod and Amanda Mier; and his siblings, Evelyn Hueston, Nancy Mahoney, Edward Mier, Joseph Mier, Hazel Meyers, Donald Mier; and granddaughter, Kristine.
