David F. Anderson died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 24, 2022.

He was born January 26, 1949 to Fred and Charlene Anderson of Grand Marais MN.

After graduating from Cook County High School in 1967, he joined the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years Cherie; his mother, Charlene; six children: Tiffany Anderson - MN, Heidi Doo (Jordy) Kirk - MN, Brandon (Melissa) Anderson - AK, Nichole Anderson - TX, Eric (Jessica) Anderson - TX, and Joelle (Shaun) Vetting - WI. He is further survived by three siblings: Vicky (Gene) Stagg - IA, Laurie (Lyle) Spry - MN, and Alton (Jane) Anderson - MN, two siblings-in-law: Michele LaFond (Vicky Storzer) - WI, Dave (Kristen) LaFond - KS, father-in-law James LaFond (Shirley Andrews) - WI as well as 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father: Fred; sister Wanda; brother Aaron, and son Chris.

The family invites others to join them at the Old Maple Hill Church at 10:00 a.m. on August 6, 2022, "where we will have some sad stuff, Military Honors, swap stories, cry, crack jokes and do all the things that help us get through this together. Afterwards, will head down to the Fish Burger Stand and have one in his memory."
