David Douglas DuBois

David Douglas DuBois, 70, passed away Friday, July 22nd, 2022, in Stacy, Minnesota after a lengthy illness. He was born on August 20, 1951, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Melvin and Juanita DuBois. He was the third born in a family of nine children.

He attended South High School and went on to graduate from Macalester College in 1974. David’s love of art saw him working in all mediums imaginable, stone, metal, wood, clay, paint and pencil. He also was a prolific writer and a scholar, never tiring of learning about the world around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Phillip, Jay, Terry, Christopher and sister Jacqueline. He is survived by his sons James, Michael, Nicholas and Charles; grandchildren Brady and Norah; sisters Denise DuBois, Nita DuBois and Pamela Villa; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close personal care assistant, Kerri Holycross, to whom the family owes a deep debt of gratitude.
