David Donald Higgins

David Donald "Dave" Higgins, 74, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, died peacefully

at home on October 28, 2026.

Dave was born on April 20, 1952 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was a United

States Navy Veteran serving during the Viet Nam war.

He loved sitting around a bonfire and watching /listening to nature. He

enjoyed fishing for carp in the river down at “the wall”. He probably saw

every episode of Gunsmoke at least 10 times. He enjoyed watching the

Vikings, the Gophers and the Twins. He also used to like to socialize at the

Eagles Club in south Minneapolis.

Dave is survived by his mother Marcella Higgins, sisters Chris Higgins-

Prince, Pam Higgins-Henneman (Mike) and Judy Smith (Larry), daughters

Jessica, Erica and Justine, and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great

nieces and great nephews. Dave was preceded in death by his father Donald,

brothers Greg and Joe and sister Lindy.

The date for Fort Snelling National Cemetary internment is to be determined

and will be updated here then.
