David A. Panzloff, 66, of Rockford, IL and formerly of DeKalb, IL., passed away on April 28th, 2023, peacefully holding the hand of his eldest daughter.

David was born on August 27th 1956 in Elgin, IL. to Marion Panzloff (Geutenschweimer) and Delmar Panzloff.

Dave was a great handyman. He was a Union carpenter and foreman all of his career, eventually transferring to a building inspector.

He loved being outside and working with his hands. He loved to spend his days fishing, working on cars, playing poker with his best friends Frank & Diane, and watching the Chicago Bears.

David leaves behind his 6 loving children; Lori Ikerd (McCall) of Stockton, IL.; Cindy Sjostrom (Rocco) of Roscoe, IL.; Mark Rocco of DeKalb, IL.; Trisha Reed (Panzloff) of Elburn, IL.; Megan Stephens (Panzloff) of East Dundee, IL.; and Lindsey Panzloff of DeKalb, IL. Dave had 11 grandchildren, Bethany McCall; Tyler McCall; Jessica Rood; Kali Rocco; Trinity Eissens; Marissa Rocco; Cadence, Cora and Cori Metoyer; and Liv and Scarlet Reed.

He also left behind one great-grandson, Presley Fleetwood (McCall).

Dave is preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be private for his immediate family.
