Daune Shareen Biggins

July 16, 1951 – August 27, 2024

Coon Rapids, MN, USA

On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, Daune Shareen (Edwardh) Biggins, 73 years old, resident of Coon Rapids—beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and wonderful friend to countless others--passed peacefully from this earth to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to reunite with her beloved son Josh, her father Earl, mother Megan, brothers Barry and Lance, nephew Jason and many loved ones who have gone before.

Daune was born on July 16, 1951, in Warren, MN, to the late Earl and Megan Edwardh and spent her childhood years growing up in Warren. She relocated to Cambridge, MN, in the early 1970s where her family then later joined her. Daune had three sons who were her pride and joy, ran a daycare for a time and worked as a Human Services Technician at Cambridge State Hospital as well as group homes for many years where she cared for, loved on and became very attached to many residents who became like family.

Daune loved Jesus and served Him well by unselfishly serving others. She and her family were long-time members at the Stanchfield Baptist Church where she worshiped and served in many capacities including with the youth and on missions.

In her retirement, she loved playing bingo, telling jokes, spending time and going out to eat with family and friends (crab legs whenever possible!) and she was always engaged in whatever community she found herself in—Bridge Park Apartments and Ashland Place in Cambridge and then her last earthly residence of Select Senior Living in Coon Rapids. She always sought out ways to serve and bring joy into the lives of other fellow residents and staff.

Left to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy include two remaining sons both of Coon Rapids, MN, Jeff (Lori) Edwardh and family, Steve (Dawn) Avre and family, sister Judy (Mark) Black of Thomasville, NC, Daune’s former husband and constant friend Stoney Biggins of Chisago City, MN and family, seven grandchildren, sisters-in-law Cathy and Sue Edwardh, several nieces and nephews, cousins and her too-numerous-to count friends--all of whom she adored and loved deeply.
