Daniel’s Obituary

Daniel Ryan Jones, 33, returned to heaven to be reunited with his beloved mother and father as well as with our Lord and Savior unexpectedly Sunday, July 31, 2022. He is survived by his fiancé Charity- they were happily anticipating getting married on June 6, 2023; the mother of his sons Victoria; parents Richard and Amy; brothers Jeremy (Jennifer), James (Savannah); Sisters Loren (Eldon), and Marissa; nieces Sophia, and Carolyn; nephews Joshua, Henry, Nicholas, and Caleb; Sons Kayden, Kyson, and Luke (mother Victoria) Theodore (mother Charity) and Tansen (son of family friend, he was in the process of adopting); and daughter Charlotte (mother Charity). He was preceded in death by his biological parents David and Sharon, and his step daughter Alice.

Daniel’s birth was as shocking as his death: he arrived 4 weeks early while David and Sharon were on a new year retreat to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on January 3, 1989, and raised in Cedar City Utah by Richard and Sharon after his parents passed away when he was only 13 months old.

Daniel spent 8 years married to Victoria, their union provided him with his first 3 sons who were his pride and joy. Following their separation he reconnected with a former colleague, Charity. The bond between the two of them was undeniable from the beginning and anyone who knew them described their relationship as a true match made in heaven. She provided him with another son, daughter and guardian angel. Daniel was in the process of adopting one additional son who- like him a lost both parents at a young age. Family was the most important thing in the world to him followed by caring for children. Daniel Charity and their children enjoyed life together by traveling, camping, boating, swimming, watching basketball and football, playing board games, dancing in the rain, reading books, cooking food, playing soccer and golf, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.

As a youth Daniel was involved in Boy Scouts, then later was so enthusiastic about establishing a career in healthcare he propelled his way through a degree with determination unmatched by any rational being. He loved working with patients, especially kids, and helping them heal from whatever afflicted them. Daniel would always say the quote “find something you love to do and you’ll never have to work a day in your life” and that is exactly what he did.

Daniel was a soft-spoken, patient, kind-heart man with an adventurous streak. Daniel loved talking to everyone and sharing his passions such as his love for Sports, motorcycles, his kids latest shenanigans, and cutting edge research in medical news.

Even though there were times Daniel worried his family with reckless adventuring stories after the fact or did impulsive things like begin digging a hole in the yard for a swimming pool without “discussing” it with his fiancé first, she would do the last several years all over again if it meant spending more time with him.

A small private Celebration of Life service for Daniel is scheduled for Saturday, August 6th at the Harrelson home in Cedar City, UT. Event information will be published in a Facebook group.

Family is asking that in lieu of flowers donations be made the the children’s miracle network in Daniel’s name.
