A Life Well Lived
Dan was raised on a farm near Otisco, MN. This was where he learned a strong work ethic and respect for nature that he carried his whole life through. In high school he met his wife Marilyn. They married in 1950, and went on to enjoy 69 years of marriage. In his words, the love they shared and the family they built was truly a gift and the greatest accomplishment of his life. He worked for many years as a salesman in the Tool and Die industry. After his retirement he spent his time doing the things he loved such as tinkering with tools, reading, and spending time with family. As a member of the "Three Musketeers", some of his best memories were created during excursions with his hunting buddies. He cherished his last few years as a resident of Rosepointe Senior Community, where he was surrounded by amazing staff and friends.
Preceded in death by his wife Marilyn (2019), parents Gustav and Alma, sister Norma, brother Edward and grandson Patrick. Survived by sister in-law Fern, daughters Cindy (Tom), Jackie (Don), Laurie (Paul) and Julie (Jerry) along with nine grandchildren and ten great-grand children.
He will be remembered for his undeniable charm, witty sense of humor and unending love for all who were part of his life.
