Kind hearted father, Beloved brother, son, and friend to many

On November 8th, 2021 after surviving battles with past strokes, continued illness and recent pneumonia Dan's spirit peacefully embarked on a new journey to be alongside loved ones in heaven. Born in St. Paul proceeded in death by father Kenneth Rivard, mother Eileen, brother Marc and love/friend Deb Rachal. Survived and loved by son Michael K. Rivard (Sarah); sisters Kathleen Jackson; Julia Hayle (Duane); Patricia Rivard; Sister in-law Cathy Rivard; grandchildren Lukas and Aubrey Rivard; beloved nieces; nephews; other close family; Deb Rachal's family members and dear friends.

Gentle Heart - Kind Spirit

He loved sport trivia, history and supported local teams. Took great pride in his work caring deeply for fellow employees and valued customers during his employment at Pionner Press, Managing Corporate Restaurants, and spreading holiday cheer as Santa for Dayton's during Christmas. Dan's/Dad's caring nature, intelligent humor and passion for delicious food at family functions will be missed, he will continue to be loved by many.
