life story
Dale Wayne Judd, 68, of Louisville, KY, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, after a very brief illness.
Dale was born on January 9, 1956, raised in Louisville Kentucky, and lived there all his life. He was a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker, a member of Local Union 110, and worked for the Richards-Klein Corporation in South Louisville for close to 40 years. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
Dale was a hard worker, who could build nearly anything with his hands, out of metal or wood. He was a lifelong NASCAR fan, and enjoyed car shows and drag races as well. He was a Chevy guy all his life. He loved working in his yard, his dogs, and spending time at Rough River Lake. He had a houseboat there, and it was one of his favorite places to be.
He was a husband, a father, a stepfather, a brother, an uncle, and a friend.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Herman Judd; his mother, Frances Marie Hoff (nee: Brewer); his grandson Alex Judd; his nephew Aaron Clark, and his best friend of over 30 years, Dave Embry.
Dale is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife Suzanne Lamb Judd of Louisville, his daughters Lindsey Bruder (Stephen) and Erica Judd, his stepdaughter Tabitha Polley (Lucas), stepson Noah Davenport, his grandchildren Johnathan and Lillie (Erica), Colton (Lindsey), and Alexandra (Tabitha), his sister Carolyn Clark (Jesse) and nephew David Clark (Lynette), and a host of other nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, coworkers, and friends, both at home, and at the lake.
Per Dale's wishes, he will be cremated. He did not want a viewing or a funeral, so there are no arrangements at this time. There may be a Celebration of Life planned in the near future, details to be announced if and when the time comes.
In lieu of flowers, any expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations in his name to the NASCAR Foundation at https://www.nascarfoundation.org/ or Home of the Innocents at https://www.homeoftheinnocents.org/help-the-home/donate/
