Curtis Lee Christianson, 83, of Bemidji, MN died Thursday, July 21, 2022 at his home.

Curt was born March 19, 1939 in Bemidji, MN, the son of Oscar and Geneva (Beckstrand) Christianson. He was raised and educated in Bemidji, graduating Bemidji High School in 1957. He graduated from Bemidji Teachers College in 1961. He married Darlene Dehart July 26, 1958. He taught in Whitewater, MT from 1961-1963. They moved back to Bemidji where he worked at Laporte High School from 1963-1997.

He enjoyed bow hunting, fishing, golfing, gardening, and playing guitar. In the summer months when Curt wasn’t teaching he built several houses. The first home he built was the family residence.

Curt is survived by his wife Darlene Christianson of Bemidji, children, Kelly (Mitch) Anderson of Bemidji, Kevin (Lisa) Christianson of Detroit Lakes, and Kerry Jensen of Helena, MT, 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law, Ed and Lilly Dehart, brother, Vern Christianson, sister, Shirley Vaughn, and son-in-law, Keith Jensen.
