Colton Echevarria

Beloved Son, Brother, and Uncle

It is with great sadness that the family of Colton Frank Echevarria announces the passing of a beloved son, brother, and uncle. Colton passed away on October 26, 2024 at the age of 33 due to complications from COPD.

Colton was born in San Diego, CA on September 16, 1991 to the parents of Frank and Kristin Echevarria. Colton attended Westview High School in San Diego, followed by Job Corps in Pennsylvania where he earned his diploma while studying to be an electrician.

Colton was naturally athletic and enjoyed surfing, skateboarding, dirt bike riding, and playing football. He was diagnosed at age 16 with schizophrenia. Although it changed the course of his life, it did not stop him from losing his great sense of humor and style.

He died peacefully at his home and will be missed by all that love him.

He is survived by his mother Kristin Ahlem (Lamb/Echevarria) and step-dad Clarence Ahlem, father Frank Echevarria, sisters Breanna (Michael) and Shanae (Petras), half-brother Blake, and nephews Kaleb, Konnor, and Milo.

Colton's body will be donated to UCSD Medical School for medical research.
