Loving Husband & Father

"In life, we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one else will ever fill."

About Clyde

Clyde Filler passed away unexpectedly on March 16th, 2024, at 67 years old. He suffered from Afib, COPD, and heart failure. Clyde was full of adventure. He loved riding his Big Dog motorcycle and Indian Scout. He gave it hell, road them fast and loud. He loved to go hunting, fishing, traveling, and camping. He was a foodie for sure. Loved smoking meats and trying out new restaurants. One of his most desired foods he made that was even fought over was his jerky. He enjoyed most having his family together. During holidays, cookouts, or traveling together.

Clyde loved his family. He was a loyal, devoted, loving husband. Married 40 years to Denise Filler. He was a great father, and a great father makes a world of difference, our family was blessed with one of the best. His children felt loved their whole lives. He instilled family values in them that they've passed down to their children. His sense of humor wasn't for everyone but definitely passed onto his children. We will miss the belly rolling, snot blowing, crying, fall to ground, shouldn't be laughing at kind of jokes we shared together.

He was a welder for 35 years. Some of his work can be seen at the Minnesota Historical Society and throughout St. Paul Parks and bridges. Ended his welding career making NHL rinks.

During his childhood he lived in East St. Paul. Later in life lived in North St. Paul, Cottage Grove and finally settling in Cannon Falls, MN. Married Denise Filler in 1983. Had two children Amanda Filler and Brianna Castro. Helped raise his stepdaughter, Jean Desmond.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Emil Filler & Ameila Filler and his brother Kelly Filler. He is survived by his wife Denise Filler. Daughters Amanda Filler, Jean Desmond, Brianna Castro. Grandchildren Vincent Castro, Nikolai Castro, Sheldon Desmond, Nathan Otterson, Benjamin Otterson and Taylor Giles. Son in laws Jesse Otterson and Cody Giles. Brothers, Carey and Randy Filler. Lastly, we can't forget his beloved spoiled rotten dog, Buddy. Buddy was known as the girl's brother. He ate better than most people. He only bites holy people.

Words cannot capture the depth in which Clyde will be missed. Love you dad, until we meet again.

Condolences, cards, flowers, may be sent to Denise Filler at 609 Cannon River Ave. Cannon Falls, MN 55009.
