Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Neubauer-Stahnke, born November 14, 1952, passed away peacefully , on August 25, 2026 at the age of 73, after an extended battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her husband, sons, sisters, and cousin. She will be remembered with love by all who knew her and by the family and friends whose lives she touched.

Cindy was married to Herbert Rodger Stahnke, with whom she recently celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. Together, they built a life filled with love, devotion, and enduring companionship. She was the beloved mother of Graham and Tyler Stahnke and sister to Tom, Lynda and Barb, and grandmother to Rex and Stella, whom referred to her as “Mummo”.

Cynthia loved music, gardening, a wide variety of art, travel, reading, and researching both new and old topics. Her appreciation for beauty, creativity, learning, and new experiences brought joy to her life and to those around her. She also cherished her regular get-togethers with her friend group, warmly called “The Hags” whose companionship and laughter were a treasured part of her life. She was mother to many kids beyond her two sons and always offered a listening ear and sage advice with no judgement

Cynthia was preceded in death by her brother, Tom; her mother, Maxine Mickelson; and her father, Harold Neubauer.
