Loving Husband, Father, Grandpa, Father-In-Law, Brother, Uncle and Friend

Christopher Luke Pruden (Age 58) left us on February 28, 2024 after a brief and sudden illness; surrounded by his loving family.

Born on December 31st, 1965 in St. Paul, MN to the late Karen and Richard Pruden. After moving out of the Como Park area, they settled in Maplewood, MN. Chris lived in Maplewood through high school and then once married he and Mary remained in that area.

Chris played sports all through high school and college. He enjoyed watching his Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins; he even attended many baseball and football games. He loved Fantasy Football and turned out to be pretty good at it as he won the Championship many times throughout his 30+ years of playing Fantasy Football.

Chris was the best husband; he truly was Mary’s better half and soulmate. The love that he and Mary shared was special and will be treasured forever. A lot of the time Mary was taking care of him; but in all reality he took care of her and made her feel special every single day. Chris loved his boys with all his heart; every chance possible he was always letting them know how proud he was of them. He was the happiest as he watched them become the best men possible; and loved watching them find the love of their life’s and admired them both as they made two beautiful families. Chris loved his siblings with all his heart and more than they may ever know. He loved getting together with his brother and playing Bingo and hanging out. But above all else he loved his Grandchildren. All the sleepovers and fun places and things Nana and Papa did with them made him so happy.

Chris had the biggest heart and was loved by so many. He was the “Biggest Teddy Bear” and “Gentle Giant”.

He will be missed terribly by the love of his life and wife of 30 years Mary. Sons; Daniel (Saundra) and Nicholas (Maddy). Beloved Grandchildren Jace (Reagan), Jaylee, Avery, Cruz and Zeke. Sister; Michelle (Dave) Anderson, Brothers; Richard (Danette Richards) and Matt. Brother’s In Law; Mike (Karen) Petrich and Mark (Melissa) Petrich. He was loved by so many family members including Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and so.. so.. so.. many special friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Karen and Richard Pruden, Sister Kristen Pruden, In Law’s Jane and George Petrich and special Aunt’s and Uncle’s Sharon, Kathy, Tom, Bob and Marc.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday April 7th 2024 from 11:00 am-3:00 pm

at: Hoggsbreath Bar 2504 Rice Street Little Canada, MN 55113
