Christine "Chris" M. Collins

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Christine "Chris" M. Collins on November 16, 2025, at the age of 66, surrounded by loved ones in her home in Big Lake.

Christine was born August 2, 1959, to Dave and Arzella "Babe" Metzger and grew up in Forest Lake and Detroit Lakes. On December 30, 1976, She married Donald "Donny" Collins. She was light hearted, kind and loving and will be missed by many. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, especially for weddings, graduations, and baby gifts. She also enjoyed card making, fishing, canoeing, visiting Munsinger Gardens, nature drives and watching the sandhill cranes migration. She loved spending time with her family, displaying her Christmas village, making cookies and watching her favorite game shows, The Price is Right and the Wheel of Fortune.

As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the love, joy and kindness she shared.

Christine is survived by her loving husband, Donny; children, Ross (Rachel) Collins, Keli Mork, Dana Wilson; grandchildren, Robyn (Mike) Wurst, Russell Collins, Reese Collins, Jagger Mork, Chase Mork, and Chance Mork, Maggie Wilson; parents, Dave and Babe Metzger; sibings, Lori (Stephen) Collins, Edd Metzger, Beth (Steve) Hedstrom, Pati (Tom) Green; nephews, Jason Collins, Joel (Karen) Collins and Ryan (Stephanie) Hedstrom.

A Celebration of Life will be held for all who knew and loved her.
