Her kindness was unmatched to all that knew her.

We are sad to announce the passing of Chrisandra June Ellis of Boise, ID. All the way up to her passing, she made it a priority to ensure others were taken care of. Chris was fighting cancer over the past year and passed away peacefully with her loving husband Dave by her side.

About Chrisandra "Chris"

Chris June Kelly was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania to Jesse and June Kelly on March 27, 1947. She spent her childhood growing up in Mercer County Pennsylvania.

Chris was a majorette throughout her childhood attending games and walking in parades. She was daring and even twirled and did high aerial throws with a fire baton at Mercer football games.

She attended Mercer High School and was part of the honors society. She met and started dating Dave Ellis in high school. Dave often attended the games to support Chris and they loved to go to the skating rink. Chris received a BA in teaching from Slippery Rock Community College. After teaching elementary school for a couple of years, she pursued a nursing degree at Sharon General. Nursing became her life long passion. She married her high school sweetheart Dave Ellis on March 29, 1969 after he returned from service in Vietnam.

Life took them to Texas and then to Idaho where they spent their lives together. Chris started working at St. Lukes Hospital where she was a nurse for more than 30 years. Chris greatly enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a very devoted and loving mom. She was her daughter's number one fan. She had a very tender heart for all her beloved pets as well.

Her hobbies included painting ceramics, reading, hot air ballooning, watching the Boise State football team, and UTV riding with her husband and friends.

Chris is survived by her husband Dave Ellis, their daughter Shawna Weaver and her husband Chad Weaver, granddaughter Audrey Weaver, brother Ernie Kelly and his wife Wanda Kelly, niece Clarissa Clawson and family. Nephews Todd and Dave Ellis

She was preceded by her parents June Kelly and Jesse Kelly.
